First of all, thank you for making this band known to as many people as possible. In France, there is an expression that says "This is part of my Proust madeleine". This band is an absolute reference in true Coldwave. A very present bass, a rhythm that plays almost like a metronome, a haunting guitar, a plaintive voice.

The album "Faith" by The Cure is the perfect example.

At the beginning of the band, I was 18 years old and I listened to it on repeat in my car. The sound has lost none of its impact. What talent! If I may, I would like to offer you a great compilation including Suicide Dada:

HYPNAS, I totally agree, Weimar Gesang is a great band! Although I got to know coldwave not so long ago (maybe 10-15 years ago) and even more so I know few bands that played in the 80s, but this band definitely sounds right

admin,Weimar Gesang has been considered too much as a "second-rate" band. I don't think so. The compositions are superb. Too bad it didn't last longer. I can suggest some French bands from that period if you want.

Ouch! very important! this mini-album came out in 1983 and very quickly sold out because few copies. In France, it has become cult! (reissue in 2006)

admin,Looking back, I quite agree but at the time the band was classified with the Batcave scene. The lyrics talk about murder, suicide, blood, death sentence...

The tape did not have a case, it was sold in a plastic bag with a booklet, a badge, a sticker, a brown and gold cardboard and the photos of the five members who were naked. The photo of the singer was a female body cut in two lengthwise.

It was very special. Since that time I have only met two people who own this tape.

admin,I think the connection between these two bands is really well found. There are many common points indeed while I am convinced that Bestial Mouths has never listened to N.D.E. However with the French band, there is a more decadent, trashy and primary aspect.

But hey, the technical means are not the same. I love the tribal approach of Bestial Mouths.

By the way, I have the complete Pour L'exemple (the side-project of Yves and Fabrice of Guerre Froide) with the cassette now unobtainable. Should I send you all that?
