A more than welcome reissue. The album had been out of print since the 1980s.

THANKS DS !!

HYPNAS, I understand these songs have never been officially released anywhere before?
Do you know if they have any other unreleased material?smiley

admin, It seems to me that most of the tracks were available on a very limited edition cassette. To my knowledge, there are no other tracks, not even on compilations.

The band had a very short history. Before that, there was an album by the leader under the name D.Stop, and afterward (starting in 1986), he created Collection D'Arnell Andréa.

Listening to this album, one senses a cynicism similar to that of the brilliant Belgian band Polyphonic Size.

This is NEVER released album!

Maidosen Records are a record lable that mostly publish lost, unique & missed french albums from the 80's i may say to you that in my Poesie Noire times i had a copy K7 with the first 5 tracks (record by a french friend of mine) that was a rarity, so this publish is a Masterpiece!

Jean-Christophe Goleau AKA Jean-Christophe d'Arnell and Pascal-André Fauchard, just after created this songs and record them, decided to end this band due to musical differences.

P.S

The band D-Stop were a Synthpop-Punk Band!

The name "Les Visiteurs Du Soir" was taken from a 1942 french movie.

HYPNAS, carlmcoy, thanks for the info)
I'm certainly familiar with Collection d'Arnell~Andréa's work, the song "Wild Trees" is one of my favoritessmiley
But I'm not familiar with "D.Stop," and I'm also new to "Les Visiteurs Du Soir."

By the way, there are other "Les Visiteurs Du Soir" songs in their original cassete quality on this YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@herzapcorp/videos, for example, the one linked above in the post and this one:

(Link to the entire playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOHL-341p8A973-TTeTGpZlDX1dYC0REa)
That's why I asked if they had anything else. Because if you compare the recordings, it seems like the "1984" album isn't just a reissue, but a complete re-recording from scratch (unless they secretly recorded their songs on CD in 1984grin).

carlmcoy, Thank you for your clarification. I highly recommend the film "The Evening Visitors." A classic film shot during the German occupation.

admin, Thank you for this YouTube channel. We never stop discovering new things. I thought this band's lifespan was too short to create all this. Jean-Christophe is a very charismatic person, and it's likely he's the one who's kept all the songs all these years.
