Comfortable Cave Goodbye is a project created by Markus Reinhardt, formerly of Wolfsheim. After Peter Heppner took a hiatus from Wolfsheim to pursue his solo career, Reinhardt attempted to have Heppner legally removed from the band so that he could continue to make music under the Wolfsheim name on his own. After the suit was ruled against Reinhardt, he decided to take his talents elsewhere, releasing under the name Comfortable Cave Goodbye.
