Het begon met de aanschaf van een Revox bandrecorder die het mogelijk maakte musiceren studiomatig en daarmee meer conceptueel te benaderen. Niet veel later kwam daar een Teac A-3340 bij en een kleine mengtafel. De input werd geleverd door diverse instrumenten waarbij Martin Keuning de keyboards-man was en Martin van den Oever de gitarist. Het concept bestond uit een drieluik Muziekkamer I, II en III. 'Op Zee' was een extraatje, het artwork ervan – de behandelde muziekcassette – werd gemaakt met een bevriende kunstenaar, Willem Kuiper.
