Origin: France
D.Stop was a rather short-lived French post-punk/synth-pop act, consisting of Sonny Brailleur (vocals), Phil Leton (guitar/bass) and Ross Darnell alias Klod Lelook (organ/synth/rhythm box). They debuted in 1982 with the single Traitement De Choc and released the mini LP Nouvelles Du Front. The style of D.Stop is basic: elementary electronic percussion, grating, atonal guitars and simple, sometimes even childish synth tunes. In style with the punk attitude the songs rarely last longer than three minutes.
