Diva

The band was formed in 1985 by Natália Casanova (vocals), Pedro Solaris (guitar), João Vitorino (drums), Diamante (bass) and João Marques (keyboards) .
In November of 1985 they released a single with the themes "Chuva" and "Saudade and Raiva" for the publisher Metro-sound. The cover presents a graphical error because the themes are indicated as "Saudade" and "Anger".
António Freire (guitar), Óscar Coutinho (bass) and Pedro Domingos (keys) joined the group in 1986. In 1989 they signed a contract with EMI-Valentim de Carvalho. In 1990 they released the album "Ecos de Outono", produced by Ricardo Camacho and Francis. "Errante Love" is one of the most striking themes of the album.
In 1993 the departure of Pedro Domingos and the entrance of the violinist Carlos Aires. They participate with a version of "Canção de Embalar" on the album "Filhos da Madrugada". They perform in the concert "Filhos da Madrugada ao Vivo".
The second album, "Blue Desert", was published in 1995. The album "O Verbo", with production of Frank Darcel, was published in 1996. In the disc participated Adolph Luxúria Canibal that wrote the lyrics of the disc and participates in the subject "And the Word created the Woman".
In 1997 a CD-Single was released with remixes of "Eu Ando À Voltas"
They even recorded and pre-produced the fourth album, which was scheduled for release in April 1999, but they stopped recording after disagreements with Sony. After a few years of stop they announce a new return but it did not materialize.
Natália Casanova collaborated in discs of Francisco Ribeiro and Citânia and in the song of solidarity "Grains of One Pomegranate"
