Douglas John McCarthy (born in Barking, East London, on 1 September 1966; died 11 June 2025) was an English vocalist whose work covered a range of electronic music genres and who is remembered as the lead vocalist of the EBM band Nitzer Ebb, whom he fronted from 1982 until 2024.
Apart from writing and performing with Nitzer Ebb, McCarthy also appeared on recordings by Recoil and released material in collaboration with DJ Terence Fixmer as Fixmer/McCarthy. He also contributed vocals to tracks by Die Krupps, Motor, Kloq and Client.
