Mardou was started in Cincinnati, OH in 2012 as a wayward bedroom project influenced by 70’s English music, German electronic, c86 and noise pop, early industrial, moody guitar rock, weirdo Midwest punk, dubby sounds, and more. The groups earliest iteration was a barely-functioning, untrained and cacophonous band with Dyon McCratney on guitar and singing, Eric Dietrich on bass, Eric Lindsay on drums, and Aaron Watkins on guitar.
