Roju, the six-piece modern nu-metal force from Finland, redefines heavy music. Their sound bridges the old nu-metal era with a potent mix of metalcore, djent, and modern metal.
Originally conceived as an experiment by singer Joni Karjalainen and guitarist Joni Nuortimo, Roju's journey took flight with bassist Juha Janttonen and their debut single, "Calamity".
What was meant to be a one-off release spiraled into a global sensation, marking the birth of Roju in 2020.
