Michael Ruin Helmut Prixs Anton Ritter SHARON NEXT was founded by Michael Ruin und Helmut Prixs in a club in Vienna in 1995. Both were playing in different bands. It was their destiny to come together. Ruin und Prixs make music for the same reasons--both loved bands such as "Joy Division", "The Smiths", "The Cure" and electronic music in general. A week later they started together, as Sharon Next. In 1996 Sharon Next contributed three songs to the sampler "Armatage Shank".
