1) Silverhawk was a Jamaican sound system owned by the esteemed "Steely" Johnson of the legendary dancehall production duo Steely & Clevie. The sound was most active from 1987-1994, and along with Stone Love, led the transition from live artists to recorded dubplates being the dominant medium for live reggae sound system performances. Shortly before his death in late 2009, Steely had been working behind the scenes to bring the sound back on the road
