The Atlas Project

Founded in 1998, The Atlas Project is composed of Phil Von (of Von Magnet fame) and Norscq.
Their 1998 album Barbaresque is rather trip-hop, while 1999 Wechma is definitely clicks and cuts, both sounding definitely oriental in different ways. Albums released by the French label Prikosnovénie.
Their music blends ambient, electronic, clicks and cuts, together with oriental samples and atmospheres. As their label puts it: "Think of Autechre, Scanner or Aphex Twin -traveling in Maghreb".
