Velvet Noir

Velvet Noir is a synthpop band formed in Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia in 2019. A musical duo, they were fronted by vocalist Ekaterina Kozlova, with Dmitry Kozlov on synthesizers; Ekaterina wrote the lyrics while Dmitry wrote the electronics, as well as mixing and producing the recordings. Dmitry Kozlov also known as a half-part of synthpop/nu disco band The Tapeaters. Founded in November 2019, Velvet Noir were influenced by electronic bands from the 1980s.
