Violet Nox is a Boston-based experimental noise band combining elements of electronica, post-punk and psychedelia to create an abstract yet mellifluous tapestry of tension & release.
The quintet consists of Dez DeCarlo (formerly of Shiva Speedway and other projects) on guitar and vocals, Karen Zanes (The Freeways) on guitar and vocals, Andrew Abrahamson (Spectramotiv, Animal Hospital Ensemble) on electronic rhythms, and both Thor Maillet (Petridisch) and Kris Thompson (The Prefab Messiahs, Bobb Trimble, etc.
